It gets a little old every time someone recognizes the Hellcat and yells "Do a Burnout"!
I even had the Awesome experience of having a guy in another vehicle get pissed at me and yell "rookie", after I failed to do his requested burnout at a busy intersection in the middle of downtown.
Its quirks..which will probably be ongoing to deal with .....Things like groaning differential (fixed it with additive and change ) will probably need to change out yearly. Vibration of steering wheel around 75mph ( fixed it with road force balance), I am sure every time I need new tires I will be needing a road force balance.....
-I guess I expected it the car is a beast with 707 hp but it will be ongoing...
Inner door panel redesign. Who needs another bottle holder and no room in the pocket for even a tiny umbrella.
Not planning on a trade but would have to consider a Jeep Hellcat if it materializes.
I hate that I have to do things that don't involve driving my Hellcat. If it had an optional package that could be a husband, father and work to support the family, I could drive all the time. Get to work on this Dodge.
If I could build it the way I want I would remove----
The starter button, the huge key fobs (just want a normal key), reverse camera (that's what mirrors are for), all the steering wheel buttons especially the telephone buttons (no need for the telephone to ever leave the wall in the house) and mostly that huge damn TV screen in the dash. A mechanical tach, speedometer, and engine gauges would be nice too.
I love the look of the car and the engine, but sure wish it had much less electronic gizmos!
Just found out I have to get an alignment as my rear tires are showing some minor signs of an alignment issue..as I mentioned this car seems like its high maintenance...including high cost and higher insurance cost ...my insurance went up 50 bucks a month...
Every Tom, Dick and Harry wanting to race no matter what they drive, no matter where you are. I'm not your organ grinder monkey here to put a show on for you. You gonna pay for my gas, tires, tickets, bail money, legal fees? And my 5 y/o is in the backseat, so yea let's race!!!
Why is it that wives hate this car? My wife was not fond of it either....she says its too wide and too loud.
(..too bad she only weighs 100 lb or I would have told her that she just described herself...)
I guess for the money they wish we had purchased a show off car like a Porsche or BMW? ....Yuk....
Only gripe is not having a hood properly aligned with the fenders. The few I've seen on lots have similar hood alignment problems that are worse than mine. Brand new!
Wife complaining is my only issue. It's too loud and the seats are uncomfortable (she has hips). She (and my dogs) knows when I enter the neighborhood.
Mine's not a car person. Thinks it's a waste of money, could just drive $25K-30K car. Doesn't understand the feeling and attraction of driving 707hp. And that is why I have testicles and you do not dear....try as you might they will never reside in your mayonnaise jar.
The fact I can't drive it every day. No where safe to park it at work for fear of someone clumping it with a lump of metal.
As for the missus she loves the Cat. The other week she helped me wash and dry the Cat. She even vacuumed the carpets.
This is the first time ever in 33 years of us being together she has helped me wash any car.
She still has not plucked up the courage to drive it yet
As for selling the Hellcat for something else.
No way. We have bonded and she is a keeper.
Even if someone offered me a big profit on the Cat I would not take it.
I am doing a bit of buying and selling at the moment.
Moving stuff around but so far I have only been buying.
Must start doing some selling soon
The missus wants me to buy another Cat and have it painted stryker red
