That is a good question. After I heard it tested at 126mph in the quarter mile and 199mph top end I never thought to ask anybody. I will check tomorrow with some Dodge boys and see if I can find out for us both.

    You are the MAN...... THANKS.
It's also like my 2009 CHALLENGER RT. It has a final of 3.06 but it's only 5 speed automatic transmission, with a Maggie 8 pounds of boost and no motor work just AMERICAN RACING headers AND they exhaust(3) inch runs11:20@123.
Now it runs. 10:70s@128 with 3.50 gears with (9) inch rear end all work done by TUNE TIME PERFORMANCE IN LAKEWOOD N.J. :D:cool:

Yep that post by Mopurr was most helpful. I called Kuntz Motors and they said the same.

Already thinking about changing my auto gears to 3.90. Wondering if the rear end can handle the strain if you can the tires to hook up. Going to be really low gears with that 8 speed.

Why not just set up some DRs on smaller rims and run them on the strip? That would be like changing the gearing to something "shorter". You can put the OEMs back on for touring and improve the daily gas mileage.... Just a thought. ;)

before anyone thinks about deeper gears, run the first gear ratio multiplication with the 2.62. It is equal to a 5.88 rear gear! Auto will be quicker but way overkill on the 1, 2 gears with all the torque available. Car would have been fast with a powerglide.
