Im working on my drive shaft and wondering what holes are used and which holes need to be plugged? Is it every other or what? Any input is greatly appreciated. 2015 challenger A8. I want to prep it, plug it, seal it in with the Right Stuff but want to make sure i know how many and which holes to plug. 20160407_184503.jpg

bighit2883 where did you get those plugs? I have my driveshaft (2016 A8) and am just waiting for the plugs to come out so I can do the install. Also would love to know where these go.

Got the plugs from my dads work...they have a powder coat line where he works. However this is not where the plugs need to go. The plugs actually go on the car in the housing flange...not on any part of the DS. I spoke with frank from DSS and it sounds like plugs might be shipping out later this week. Thanks for the clarification bighit2883 I purchased my Ds from BWoody, so do you know if I will get these plugs automatically or will I have to contact them? My DS just arrived on Saturday.

You can get either in touch with BWoody or DSS as long as you can show the proof of DSS Drive Shaft bought. Again, We don't have the full detail on how DSS is going to handle this situation. hoping that they would update the main thread tomorrow.

I guess grease slings all over the place.

    Just my 2 cents here...
If I had to do this I would use a product called "pro-seal"
In the aircraft business it is used to seal fuel tanks and windshields.
It is a 2 part mixture that is like synthetic rubber and sticks like
Schmidt to a blanket! It comes in either a pint can or a one time use
Smaller dispenser. It is costly but would do the job nicely.
You would probably have to do it in 2 steps to ensure full encapsulation
Of the hole. After it is set you could trim any excess with an exacto knife.
So PRC Desoto is the manufacturer product #would be 1422 B1-2 pint
pr1422b Aircraft Products from Jaco Aerospace
Caution....You have to mix it exactly as label says or it will never cure!
An in car heater speeds the process as well.
FYI....DSS is in the process of a fix for this (a plate i think)
    Check directly with them first!
    Far

May be a stupid question, but what type of grease should you use to replenish?
