I was washing the car so I could install my WeatherTech floor mats that came in today and I noticed a couple things I wanted to ask if anyone else has seen. First off, the wire loom that connects from inside the trunk to the trunk lid, it's just dangling there? It has plastic wire conduit around the wire then wrapped with black tape. Mine looks like a child wrapped it, or someone who was trying to get some cars out the door, haha. But seriously it was poorly done, is anyone elses like this?

messup4.JPG I was cleaning under the hood and found a block of wood inside the forward facing hood scoop. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this. I am guessing this is why the black hoods are taking so long, they lost their special painting tool. JK

I will just give you this one. If you order it through Snap-on it's going to cost you about 1200$. They are proud of their stuff. Great quality though.

Well the trunk loom, um , it's not a 7 series. It's a factory built bargain hot rod so there may be a couple money saving mass market mass essembly shortcuts.

However the block of wood! I just about pee'd myself laughing. If you made it up I could still think it's funny, but weird humor. But believing you that it actually came that way is the funniest thing ever. Somehow proving that with a video as that thing came off the truck would be top gear kind of stuff. That made my day!

For the rest of my life I am going to be checking in the hood when I buy a car for blocks of wood!

I am glad you got a laugh out of it. :) But I am not $h!t!ng you. I was cleaning the duct holes and I noticed one looked different than the other, so I began my investigation. It was free floating inside the vent hole. It wasn't difficult to get out or anything. I am surprised it was still in there considering I have drove halfway across the country in the car so far. It even has bright white paint on it. The same color as my car. I am considering that block of wood to be worth the 7k extra I paid for the car. I think I will display it, after I get it signed by Tim K. or Ralph G like bfusion mentioned. haha

I know its not a 7, but the quality of the wrap job could have been done better by a blind monkey, fiancee's mom reference...
JK, don't tell her I said that. #craftsmanship

Some people get trunk monkeys, some people get hood beavers.
