Haha. I don't know how else to explain it. By no means am I talking about a ricer fart sound but while accelerating quickly, the sound that comes out sounds like a fart? What is it called and what's going on?

And yes. I like that sound.

If the "fart" you hear happens when it shifts it is the PCM pulling power for a split second. Just a part of torque control to help the trans survive the warranty period..

Haha! Actually, I love that sound so I was wondering what exactly it was called/what causes it. I would actually want it to be louder and more prominent. Is this possible at all?

The smiles it gives when it happens to everyone sitting in the car (and out) is priceless.

You must mean what I call a "bbbllapp" when it up-shifts. I love it!:)

Kinda the same sound I make every morning once I get past my second cup 'o joe, heheh..;)

Haha I guess it was a fart sound in the winter. Now it sounds like an explosion. I wish it was louder!

Try pure sport mode. I think I does it more.

Damn rain! Car is ready with the CF shaft, and the rear suspension re-torqued. Apparently she barks loud! Have to wait until tomorrow, the Jazz Blue will peel off if it gets rained on.

Good idea. I don't trust myself with the track/sport modes yet. Death wish?

    "Fart Combusting" ?!?! lol
I dunno about any explosions nor the fart thing, but the rear of my car always seems to kick a bit to the right between 1st and 2nd gear when I hammer it. Then torque control must take over fully because for the rest of the shifts I just need to hold on and keep it pointed straight!

EDIT: -and Sport Mode just makes traction worse from a dig....it'll go sideways in an instant then...

LOL! I drove it in -10 weather here in Canada. It sounded just like a FART exploding. In warmer weather, it sounds like an explosion. Yes the upshift sound.

Yeah that's what I thought about sport mode too.

The first time I went WOT (after break in period) and heard that sound, I actually took my foot off the pedal as I thought I broke something.

It took me a few more runs before I felt comfortable that nothing was breaking and that was how it should sound when it is shifting at WOT.
