Seeing that people have issues or imperfections when they pick up their cat, is there any threads or info and things to look for when you go to get her????

i recommend bringing a friend who is anal

both of you walk around the car under full sunlight, look it up/down at every angle and dont assume because its a new car that its perfect...odds are it isnt

you will find some dirt in the paint if you look hard enough

worry about any physical damage...once you leave the lot you cant say it came that way unless its clear coat runs down the side of the car or something like that

my 2011 had a goose poop stain in a stripe on the trunk...im super anal and i didnt notice for months...had to be at just the right angle and it really stood out....of course after i noticed it once i noticed it all the time and it annoyed me...also had some minor marks on the rims....saw a 2011 in the showroom when i was looking with a quarter size dent in the rear 1/4 panel right in the arch of the wheel.......no one at the dealership caught it before i saw it..(Wilde Dodge)

look for rim damage, scrapes under the spoiler, alignment of the hood and exhaust tips.

mine is having a coolant smell out of the heat vents right now.....my 2011 had a heater blower motor that didnt work from day 1.....

take your time and make sure the condition is just right....then sign the paperwork

Am I crazy or is this a used car? Never felt the need to check out a new car at this level.

tire pressure. Mine was fine but after 2 days the pressure had gone down 5lbs. Had a leak in the stem and went round and round with the dealer.

Tiny flecks of rubber in the fender wells or on the undercarriage.

Make sure your dealer saves everything from the Pdi. Every paper, yellow chin guards. Make sure you tell them you want everything

Why would you want to leave them on? I see it kinda like how they used to put plastic on couches in the 70s..

Would you if you "COULD" take a new GT40 off the show room floor without an inspection? I don't consider it DODGE bashing by looking over a new car prior to picking it up. The semi driver could have dinged it unloading it.

Put on a brand new pair of white cotton gloves and rub every inch of paint. Follow your hand with your eyes and your touch will pick up imperfections that your eyes may not notice because of the angle of the light shining on the surface. Rub down the seats, looking for tears, mis-queues on the sewing etc. Start up the car, let it warm up, check for leaks (first check the oil). Remember it's still theirs until you sign on the dotted line.

    My 2cents worth anyway.
