getting some hop on the street with the factory summer p-zeros.....mostly when going into second with tires breaking loose, but does go into a wheel hop sometimes in first....will lower tire pressures help?? suspension set to street help?? any A8 owners swap out lower trailing arms with stiffer bushings??.........just dont want any hop when I get to the dragstrip.....would like to eliminate completely...

I haven't heard of anyone getting wheel hop with stock tires... Usually will just spin and go

Under hard acceleration I'll get some wheel slippage but I have never experience wheel hop with my A8 on the street with stock tires. Wheel hop is violent. Are you sure its just not that chattering feeling you get as the tire grabs and spins?

Yes I've had the beginnings of wheel hop that forced immediate throttle release. Really dependent on weather and road conditions. Most the time over acceleration just produces wheel spin but seems if I'm walking that fine line to get hooked up that rolling on the power sometimes produces wheel hop. It's an ugly thing

My drag radials and 315/35's wheel hop EVEN WITH THE NEW TRAILING ARMS if you nail it with too much torque application. My stockers are smooth. I had them in a couple weeks ago, while I did not try to launch from zero, lots and lots of second gear opportunities came. When it did, and they busted loose, it was just resounding music of tires burning up! I must confess I do have the aftermarket trailing arms and their better bushings installed.

So if that thing is bothering you, and I can believe it may hop, get the trailing arms, spend about an hour putting them on, it is easy and then it will be rock solid. You should go ahead and order your next set of rears the next day, because it will be a rubber burning machine.

    If I may ask...
Which aftermarket trailing arms did you use? Where did you pick them up? Cost?

Got a set of the red ones, they not only firm things up, but every tech that gets under it spots them immediately and asks if they come that way, that is always fun. Speedlogix Billet Rear Trailing Arms-In Stock! | SRT Hellcat Forum

It rides fine, it seemed to firm things up back there, but since it really does not work with the shock or springs the "ride" prevailed. When I put the stockers back on to do some racing, it felt absolutely solid and was a blast to drive.

Try some different settings in the performance page for street use, if going to the track there are well established settings that have proven to work the best.

I think it was the entire package, but this car is very worthy of road racing in stock form I will let you know. It will also be my emphasis on getting others to try it within the Hellcat Club.
