Several things seem to help, nothing seems to get rid of it totally. That said we have been around and around with this issue over the past few years with 6 speeds. Our billet rear tension arms have been found to improve it quite a bit, additionally swapping out the rear cradle bushings to better quality also improves it as well.
Here are the products I am talking about.

Rear trailing/tension arms: these do fit Hellcat
Speedlogix Billet Rear Trailing Arms 05-15 Challenger Charger 300 Magnum

Bushings (need to confirm fitment on Hellcat)
Whiteline Front Rear Cradle Bushing Kit 05-14 Challenger Charger 300 Magnum

I have a Charger, so it's the 8 speed auto for a trans, I got the three season tires. I'm not sure what drive mod I was in, but we went hammer down at 5 or 10 mph when it happened.

There is a good chance that the wheel hop was caused by driver error.
You can not expect to hammer the gas at 5or10 mph and not expect the car not to wheel hop

I'll have to disagree with above. The 1st Gen CTS-V had it bad, so Cadillac redesigned the axle, shafts, and offset pieces. The V2 doesn't have any that I know of, no matter when you hammer it.It's rare indeed now, even with monster tires and power. That will break parts.

Had to install hopnot kit on 14 SRT Challenger 6M for wheel hop. Hoping they solved this issue for the HC.

It's hard to buy into ''driver error''................What exactly did I do wrong? Floor it?
My 1970 Challenger has never hopped at all. 450 HP with chubby BFG's on the rear, I also drive it to the strip with slicks, no hop with them either.

You have 410+ lb/ft of torque available at 1,200 RPM and it just climbs from there. If I floor it at *50* I break the tires loose, so I would expect nothing less when doing it at 5-10 mph. You have to roll into the throttle unless you have massive amounts of grip (ie: sticky drag strip).

I had a 1st gen CTS-V so I know all about the wheel hop and had to have my diff replaced at 7,500 miles due to the hop. I test drove a 2nd gen CTS-V (also M6) when it first came out, knowing that they borrowed some of the 'fixes' employed on the SCCA factory CTS-Vs as you describe. My first launch at a light and those wheels were hopping all over. I think the biggest reason for it is the independent rear suspension... it's the reason true drag cars have straight axles and why Mustangs benefited from that for so long. Lots of IRS cars have this problem...
