    Trip here Thursday -

Sanhedrin Mt - Big Signal Peak.jpg

Normal method of access this time of year -

Transport Method 1 to Sanhedrin Big Signal Peak.jpg

Doing it this way (while the SnoCat might get there with snow pack and open aggressive roads don't want to flip the bill for a new set of Terra Tracks (its 25 miles off normal use roads to get where I need to go.)

Transport Method 2 to Sanhedrin Mt - Big Signal Peak.png

    Where we are headed -

Compound at Sanhedrin - Big Signal Peak Site.jpg

These trips get your Adrenalin going. Sometimes clouds come in forcing an overnight stay, until the day next when you can be air lifted out. (Also I'm kind of sun-setting in this career done this more times then I can remember. Never an issue but the more you go the odds begin to change.) 2.5 hours from pickup to 1st landing. Another 45 min after re fuel and supply pick up, 1 hour work (if we're lucky) then heading home. Will be a long day should be able to get some great aerial shots though, especially tie off outside the heli on the trip, likely not but maybe...

Agree. Sometimes experiences you want to be able to reflect back on differently too.

Maybe this year I'll find the courage to share recovering telecom infrastructure at Hudson Treet after 9/11, or Katrina, or the flooding that happened in Houston, or Hurricane disaster recovey in FL and so on. I put those out of my mind lots of emotional baggage tied up. Most of those I was on street doing what I did <24 hours after event stop / safe access. As I consider retiring from this career and doing something else, I find myself reflecting and coming to terms amd views to see positive sides of moments where humanity brought people together.

Na ya feel that up on a tower like this

Takes a different kind of cat...

Wanna really test yourself climb a 1500' + self supporting tower like I used to work on in FL back in the day. 1st 900' elevator from there you climb. At the top sway side...side. can exceed 80' I'll scrounge up a pic to share.
