I tried the search function and got some results as to weight loss for the Hellcat,
Please don't flame me,for not finding the answers already. if you can point me in the direction of the thread on these weights that would be nice.
    .
So standing in front of four 45pound plates at a gym, I can only imagine stacking them and two more ten pound plates as well directly on the hood of an SRT 392 car strapping them down and driving it.
where can the direct comparison in weight be placed on the Hellcat over the SRT392?
Does the supercharger itself weigh in at 100lbs or something? It looks like the housing is aluminum.
What I could find on the internet for an answer is stuff like "the hellcat has supercharger plumbing and liquids that add weight"
Does anybody have any more detail than that? like actual weights for individual components.
I helped a buddy with the parts for an intercooled D1SC Procharger on his Chevelle and there was no where near two hundred extra pounds added.
What else weighs more on this car?\

stuff adds up fast, coolers, coolant, housings, fittings but does seem to be a lot less then 200 maybe they got some extra beef in the frame/ or something.

Cast iron block for the motor instead of aluminum like the 392

Think the Hellcat needs the iron block? supercharged CTS V is aluminum, though its only 556 hp, but 2016 is like 660hp and still aluminum.

Just like in the old days when the GM cast conn rods would snap like twigs compared too the heavy Mopar forged steel rods...that still are used in drag cars across the country with 800 million cycles on them.

    Mopar or No Car...

I really think the Hellcat engine may or may not be designed for things to come. This engine is under rated at 707. I have one, My friend has one both bone stock on a dynojet pulled 672's And 673's at the wheels do the math lol.
And with a 777 flash I'm just drooling over the factory design. I dont care if it's built out of cornflakes if it holds together for 100k miles at these power outputs!

How much and does the hydraulic steering on the hellcat weigh compared to the electric on other models?

Have heard some talk about there being a power bump coming 10% approx., going up to 777hp. And that factory power bump will become a stage kit for the rest of us

Whaaaaat!!! Funny because I knew if they offered something it would be a tune we could get. That's awesome. Ya I'm surethane it's to compete with the so called 777 HP Mustang or Camero. Thanks good info!

Maybe as a stock item but I would bet we see an upgrade package some day.
