This in my opinion is a major mistake for a challenger, big is not always better!!

(was in the car park at the hotel we stayed at on international drive)

I think it looks great, we had a black challenger with 22" and looked great. IMG_0371.JPG

While I 'get' everyone has their own opinion. For me it has to do with the overall car height proportions. I never could understand why some modern Challengers just looked 'disproportionate', (either too small or too big for their wheels). After a while I concluded that it has to do with the height of the quarter panels. 20" is the sweet spot for the modern Challenger and 15 to 16" max for the vintage ones since they have shorter body panels and the car is not so 'tall'.

To each it's own I guess. Some people like different things. The purists like us not so much. We are passionate about our cars and the less it looks stock the less I would like it
The new hellcats challengers are the perfect blend of nostalgia and new. Can only be attempted but never replicated.
Someone is always going to make their cars like the top model trim than ever.

The one you show whilst not my taste still looks well it seems to sit better than the one I saw in Florida. I hate the original standard wheel that you see on most challengers (attached) had I bought an earlier model with one of these wheel sets I would of looked to change to some deep dish rostyle style wheel, as virtually every dodge available on uk autotrader in the last three years had these basic wheels on them.

Not to my taste, there is too much of a gap between the top of the tire and the fender. The car needs to be lowered to make it look good.

The black challenger was my sons first American car at the age of 22, agree it could have done with being lowered. He now drives a 2016 Ram 1500 Sport

It was my sons 3.6 SE with R/T upgrades. We have sold that now and he dives a 2016 Ram, he wants to put a lift kit on that one!

WOW that looks really stupid. That is definitely a cultural thing here in California. See it all too often. It especially looks ridiculous when they put those giant rims on classic cars.

First thing that comes to mine when I see those rubber band tires on cars is "Hot Wheels"....and I don't mean the wheels are "hot" looking....just looks like a toy...

Funny you should say that lol because first few days it did seem so :)

Only me and my boy went so we stayed on International Drive in Rosenn Inn at Pointe Orlando it was very rough, normally we go as a family and we stay in a villa at re-union or Calabria Park.

There was a super cool car (replica toys/memorabilia shop at point orlando (behind wunderworks upside down house). I bought a few dodge key fobs which are nice. Shop is called "For The Road" they have no website so they guy said which is a shame as its such a specialised shop it needs a web audience to get him decent trade. If your in Orlando/iDrive its certainly worth a visit.
