I see that Whipple makes a 160* star for our cars. Is it worth doing over the 180? Anyone running one? Thanks for any info!

I ordered one yesterday. Doing that with a 2.85 upper, bwoody intake, and being tuned by Alex Peitz. I'll let you know how it goes!

Just for those that may not know... A lower T-Stat won't do much without getting a tune. Just opens the flow earlier. The true trick is the fans turning on at 160... Need a tune for that.

A lower temp thermostat will allow lower coolant temps at cruise, but in traffic the temp will climb until the fans come on.
Kristi's HC runs around 185* with the Mishimoto 180* stat as long as the car is moving. This is a significant improvement over the stock 203* stat and her car still has the OEM tune.
