Seems like this is the common ask price right now from the dealers I have been talking to on pricing.

I wouldn't because I have an MSRP 15. I guess the folks with do "figures" might be able to justify going $5k over on a new 15 using logic that with the price markup and the shorter warranty period on the 16s it might make economic sense to do so.

For an A8, maybe...if you really want one now. Personally, I won't do it. If FCA scales production as they claim in Q1 2016, the supply will increase and prices will come down. I can't see paying over sticker so the car can sit in my garage, undriven, until Spring. At some point, there will be more cars available. Hopefully, then I'll stop getting the BS from the internet sales rep who tells me that they are basing the price on the HC being a "hard to get, limited edition model."

I have an allocated order in for a 2016 at MSRP. If it falls through, I'll hunt for one in a few months.

The HC is most certainly limited production. FCA can't build and sell all that the market will take (CAFE).

Doubling 2015 production, if that even happens, still means only roughly 16K units.

I might have........... my plan was to pull the trigger on one for 5k over if my order at MSRP did not get picked up by the december 9-10 round of allocations. That was my best guess on the latest I could wait and order, and have it by spring driving weather.
I got lucky and my spot in line at my original dealer came up last week. I am hoping that with cold starting to set in and the pending ramp up of production by January, this will turn into a buyers market for those who are still looking for their hellcat with ADMs going away.

I paid $5K over. I didn't want to at all. Some claim they were able to get deals for MSRP and what not. Good for them. I literally called 25-30 dealerships and some did offer MSRP but for none of them were A8's to my knowledge and if they were, they weren't what I wanted. I literally got what I wanted to include the painted hood when they were not accepting orders at that particular time. It came down to me accepting having to pay the amount.

The people that got an A8 at Msrp on a 15 are very lucky. I had 2 different orders in from day 1 but still paid 5k over just to get one from a totally different dealer that a guy backed out on.

I consider myself lucky to have it!

Now that the MY15 is over and MY16 are in work, no way!

Let the stealerships suck on them while MY16 allocations go to others. Maybe they'll eventually realize their mistake of treating potential customers like crap.

At this point the offer should be less than MSRP for MY15.

I was lucky enough to pay MSRP. It took a friend referring me to an honest dealer with an owner that says, "Don't care what is going on, I never charge over MSRP. Period."

The whole thing has brought a big smile to my face.

Already did.only $4200 though. Best 8 months of driving ever. Looks like everyone in 16 will be paying it. Just that FCA gets it now. Not the dealer

I've got a '16 on order for MSRP. However the base price for the '16 has risen, so it's almost $4k more.

How much more is MSRP for the 2016? 5k over a 2015 - it's probably about the same. I say just get one.
