When I am perusing the site, I found this persons car. I am interested in How / Who did the wheels with the red stripe.

It looks like a small thing to do to the car, but it just looks good. It stands out.

If you know who owns this can you PM me if you don't want to make it known in the thread?

Thanks for looking. I am interested in finding out how it was prepared and paint type, etc...

I am the dumb $%^ by not marking the thread I saw it in.

That EBay stuff is interesting. Funny statement on there that says not to be used over 180mph.
The concern I have is that there is no actual "channel" to lay this in. The stock black wheel is shaped and goes into the spokes without having a ridge
( not the best term) to lay the stuff down onto.
Those pics seem to address the problem, I just don't understand how it was prepped and put on.
Thanks for the idea of considering that tape.
    Matt

I like it. My car is Granite with the standard black wheels. I think I'll go with thr red...to match the Brembo calipers. I think that will look good, like the pic the OP posted.

Nice car, Paul. The stripes are subtle, and add to the look of the car.

I wanted to break up the slab side of the Challenger and black wheels that all blended together. Stripe compliments the brake calipers and breaks things up a little/

    SON OF A GUN

You drove for Mr. 5 and 50 ! What an experience you have had. I am honored.
thank you for replying. I love the subtle look it gave your car. A small edition makes the car stand out.

So it is tape and not painted. Good to know. I really did not want to scuff the wheels to paint them. But tape is what I will be
    going with.
I am putting in my order to Tapeworks in red to match the Brembos. It should stand out on a blue Hellcat.

    Thanks for replying.
    Matt

Had the privilege of driving for Jerry Stein, Jack Werst and Arlen Vanke. My avitar is one of Arlen Vanke's old cars in the early 70s. OK I'm old!

Well your not far from me. I am 65, broke my cherry at Pocono Drag lodge in the late 60's
worked for Joe Amato in one of his stores in the 70's when he was campaigning his Keystone Cuda car.

did my personal racing at NuMedia, Maple Grove and Beaver Springs here in PA.
Can't wait to take The Charger to Beaver once the thaw hits..
