trying to rationalize why dodge would drop sublime green and phantom black from their 2016 lineup. the charts I've seen says these two colors were the most popular on the 2015 models.

I can't claim to know, but my guess is they are trying to keep that feeling of exclusivity on the colors thereby spurring people to buy now rather than lose the opportunity to get the color they love? If you don't like sublime and waited for plum crazy would you hesitate to buy knowing sublime was a 1 year color?

    meh just a thought.

Also think of the saturation, if they continued to sell Sublime. In 2 years there would be so many sublimes the public might get sick or tired of seeing them causing "Dodge" interest to die a little.

I beleive SL was to be limited from the start, back in 09/10 they were supposed to limit Orange, but didn't and it P'd off a lot of people thinking they were getting an exclusive model year color.
The PB, I do not believe was supposed to be limited, but I'm Ok with it cancelled :)

Since when do they care if owners get P'd off
I think they are trying to keep the hype going with switching things up.

sublime isnt a full time color...its a specialty color, so i do get it...im surprised it wasnt a limited production color actually

the sparkle black....i dont get that one....not to offer a sparkle black doesnt make sense to me...but then they offered 2 blacks this year and that makes no sense either.....

the answer----things change----be happy.....do you want to see sparkle black and sublime cars everywhere? or would you rather have a rainbow of challengers when you go to a car show...

lots of you guys are into the rainbow thing arent you?

It's too bad they slathered it all over so many of the base cars & didn't keep it exclusive to the SRT line :(
If it had been kept exclusive, you wouldn't see it all over town.

sublime is RT/SRT only...not sure about sparkle black.....still see too many sublimes....

im guessing sparkle black is for all models?.....every car in the world comes in sparkle black...its very popular.....every car except for a Dodge(2016)

Have you guys seen the color, Maximum Steel? Marty almost got that color on his new RAM a couple months ago. From a distance it looks like black, okay. When you get closer you notice that it is a pearl coat, nice. When you are next to the car you notice that there are other colors as well ... tiny, tiny, little motes of teal, silver, gold, pink, blue ... it is gorgeous!!! And it sparkles like crazy, even in overcast conditions. That would be a beautiful color on a HellCat!

It is a very unusual color & looks great (saw it on a RAM @ a dealer a while back). Too close to black for me tho, if I want high maintenance I'll buy a Ferrari - LOL. I like Jazz Blue at lot too, but again just too dark & difficult to keep looking good in FL.

I have maximum steel on my 14 ram... its really awesome when clean.

    very strong color.

its not a blue, nor a grey... but its really cool. I thik it will look great on a cat...

not a fan of the rainbow sparkles on a HC though... i saw one and i would have to wrap the car if it was given to me.

I agree, that is why I did not get my HC in Jazz blue when I ordered it. I was trading in my 2013 jazz blue 392 on Dante, and I had been constantly washing that car to keep it looking nice. Jazz blue is gorgeous, but, as you said, nearly as difficult to keep clean as black.
