image.jpeg I'm in NYC for a few days to watch a Bruins game. Wife wants the drive the hellcat to work. Sure I said. Just park in the empty lot away from everyone.

So she calls me and says some guy she works with said my car was keyed. All the he way from one side across the front to the back on the other side.

    I'm PISSED!!!!

She's upset. I'm going nuts. I tell her to send pics. Call the cops. Get the lot video. Back and forth we go. The lot has cameras so I'm sure we'll see who did it.

Send pictures I keep saying. So she finally does. I look and see a straight line. Wait. That's my paint protection film. I ask " is the scratch perfectly straight?" She says yes.

Omg. It's my ppf!! I almost had a heart attack!!

It's not scratched. She just thought it was because of the line made by the paint protection film.

But for that half hour, I was boiling mad.

This is why I had my whole car wrapped in ppf. Glad your car is okay... I think I would have a heart attack too. Seeing cars that have been keyed is one of those things that really gets my blood boiling.

The guy with the key should do pinstriping for a living. Very steady hand. Nice story. I was getting pissed reading it.

So you have paint protection film that has an edge that runs the length of the car ?

Wow, glad to hear it's only the PPF. My heart sank when I started reading that. There is NEVER a reason to key anybody's car. That is one offense that should be punishable by death!!!! Slow death!

Yes. I only did the bottom of the sides and the front bumper where road rash occurs. I did that because I like the way the paint shines better than the film.

And I'm sure it wasn't a prank. She was scared. And I could tell she felt bad. I'm just glad it was nothing. I was so pissed off. Man. I could not stand the thought bought of scratches all the way to the metal.
