I love the sound of the new Hellcat but I've only watched the videos. I have always had Corsa Sport on all my Challengers and was wondering what everyone on the site thinks. I think a 3' Corsa Sport cat back system would really make this Hellcat Growlllll even louder and look better sticking out from under the rear bumper. DSCF2308.JPG DSCF2300.JPG DSCF2317.JPG

I have Corsa Sport now and although it sounds amazing, I notice when I really get on it that there is backpressure that causes a drop in power. I am hoping that the Electronically controlled valves in the Hellcat exhaust will prevent that. It just seems that they have tuned and worked every part of the Hellcat to give it dependable performance. I am sure many of the gearheads will be modifying to get more power, but I am not sold on changing the exhaust.

Gorgeous SRT Hail-Cat! I agree with Tammie,,but if it's the sound and look you are after, I don't see why not. However, I would research this carefully,,if it causes OEM PCM tuning issues,(Check engine light,or other fault codes), I would probably stick with the factory 2.75" system.

I saw a few HC's in the wild at the Woodward Dream Cruise. They fired them up a few times, they sounded awesome!

I have the Corsa Extreme on my 12SRT and I really do not like it! I don't know how much different the sport is to the extreme, but I have more than once thought about changing it. I just figured it would be easier to buy a new car :)

I am leaving my stock as this is a tuned exhaust system. My experience with new engine configurations with tuned exhaust is that you can make them louder...but you decrease the power output. I also really question if the OEM will warranty this change. I do wish you luck as I remember the days when everyone was cutting off the exhaust behind those new GLASS-PACKS...and loved it!!!

The videos really don't do it justice. Tim Kuniskis is right, it sounds like pure evil, in a race car!!

About 20 mile north of Mt Clemens, a little town called Armada. Most people never heard of it. How about you?

Exhaust will not be the key to better performance.
The present sound & exhaust system well just plain KILLER, no mods required.
ECM control to exhaust restriction, outstanding.
My father a (rest his soul) would not believe the level we are at, compared to his 1970 Buick GSX.

Tire will be the key to perf upgrades to the Hellcat.
    Traction traction traction.
No lack of power, power levels are WELL beyond the 275's ability to transfer the load too pavement.
I am going to shelf the original Rubber and wheels and order a custom set of wheels & rubber.
According to an SRT Rep interview the wheel wells on the Hellcat have been opened up from previous models.
I may need to wait for the Hellcat to be on my lift to measure up precisely.
Presently studying best tires for this application, rated for 200mph and best hole shot.
Any thoughts out there? Mich, Goods, Pir, Nits???

I agree - leave the OEM exhaust alone.
The 2 3/4" exhaust is perfect for the engine / tune. A 3" exhaust will introduce a bad case of "drone".
I'm running the Corsa Sport system on my 6.1L SRT, and while it's not the loudest system out there, it works really well with the entire system. It has a "stealth mode" where I can get out of the neighborhood without rattling dishes and windows, but will bark pretty well under WOT. It burned in very nicely over the last 5 years since I put it in.
A friend had a Magnaflow 3" system on his Challenger - and regretted getting / installing it. It was cheaper than the Corsa, and "promised" more performance, but the drone at highway cruising speeds left him and his wife with a headache every time they took it out for more than a half hour, and his ETs were a tenth off from guys running Corsa and Zoomers systems.

I won't be fixing anything that "ain't broke" on the Hellcat....
But I agree - the sneakers have to be upgraded at some point. Nitto Invo's have been great for me in the past! :D

It would be money throwing $$$ away to jack with this car till there's more options in the after market.
Oem all day long what more could you do,but run open exhaust,,,That gets old sometimes.

Get em and drive em. Hard!
