What are most of you guys finding or doing when you get drivers and passenger windows tinted? Do they remove door sills or cut tint just to bottom of window?

Im wondering if door sills come off and are put back on are they fully secure? Meaning no rattles, vibrations etc from being taken off and put back on?

Any input from guy or gals that have had it done, would be great to hear your thoughts?

    Thanks :)

I had my windows tinted at Z-Tech in Naperville IL and they did a great job. They didn't take the door panel off they cut it and put it just below the door sil. I love the look. Mine is 3%, (yes it's illegal, but I'm a rebel without a cause)

No trim removal here and tint just below the "line".

Wayne, I don't have too much of a problem seeing out of them at night except when trying to park it in the dark garage. Drive at night with the darkest sunglasses you can find and you will know what it's like.

I tip my hat to you Sir, I thought that I was the original rebel without a care by tinting my windows sides and back at 5% and the windshield at 25% but you are the man at 3%. Your car looks stellar. Well done.

Your car looks awesome with that tint. If I chose that Dark of a tint combined with no license plate on the front, 50 would find a reason to pull me over. The tint on my 14 was that dark and I always drive with the windows down at night to avoid that very thing.

Your hellcat is a sweet ride

Holy shit that's dark lol. I wouldn't be able to make it out of my neighborhood without getting pulled over with that. Good for you

Shop here in northern VA took door panels off my Charger. Makes for a better install. Cleaned and prepped full glass area and kept panels from getting a bunch of water exposure. Snugly put back together without any issues.

3m Crystalline is the way to go. Doesn't have to be black out dark to provide the protection from the sun. Mine is function over fashion especially with a daily driver. Too many idiots on the road around here to take the chance of not seeing them.

12,000 miles since last July...lovin every minute of it!

It cost me just over $450, but I also had them put some clear braw material in the door sills to prevent scratching.
