Don't know where the best place to put this so I am going to put it here. Hopefully a moderator sees this and let the correct people know to help fix it.

It seems for whatever reason my work IP address has been banned. My home computer, my cell phone, my tablet all allow me to post.

    Little help please.

Your employer is banning you most likely, not the forum. You could test this theory in a number of ways but it involves continuing to try and view the website, which apparently someone at your work doesn't like it the first place.....

Well that sucks. Guess I will need to talk to the IT guy then. Interesting cause I browse all other kinds of car forums. Wonder why they would of singled Hellcat.org out.

This is what I get when I try to log in from work.

Just the word hell in the URL is probably enough to do it on some filters.

Your work is probably using some standard filters and have it set on the K through 12 mode or something like that.

Posting the picture explains a lot. It looks like the error message is coming from this site, not from your company's firewall or website blocking software. If your company was blocking the word "hell" or "hellcat", you wouldn't get this site's banner screen. You would see a message from your browser that the site could not be found. But I could be wrong. I've been out of the IT industry for 12 years now, so things could have changed since I got my Cisco Systems networking certifications.

"hell" and especially "hellcat" are words that are standard blocks in firewall protocols. Just let IT guy know but then you're kinda sending up a flare you are ff'ing around on websites instead of work.

No the IT guy is cool with it. If it's car websites he is pretty cool about unlocking them for me. I tell them I use them for research...which is actually the truth. I watch these boards and see common stuff you guys out there have problems with. Then I follow the fixes you post. When I get a car in and has a similar issue I can go hey I know where to start.

I may be a 15 year certified Chrysler tech but you learn something new everyday.

But I agree with that was said about it is the site blocking me not my firewall. When I go to a blocked site at work it tell me it has been web filtered and I can't see anything.

Well I can still post on all my other locations to it ins't like my screen name in a whole has been banned. Maybe my work IP address tried to do something weird to the website?

To the best of my knowledge I am the only person at work that would be on Hellcat.org. A salesman didn't try to go on Hellcat.org at work and try to create a screen name and sell something maybe?

Something must have happened from your work IP. (your not a multible personality are you?) I doubt seriously they would do a blanket ban but its possible. Best and quickest suggestion is to send a PM to CK and hope he finds it interesting enough to respond to.
