Back at it again tonight in my efforts to try and claim that DS, tire record. Cool night, about 47*, but rain is moving in and humidity was at 81%. Change tonight was going to a 28" Hoosier slick on a 17" wheel. Attached is my best of 3 runs tonight. I'm going to try and get back out in a week or two when the DA starts getting in the -800s... 20151030_210404.jpg

Awesome runs but I thought the stock record was 10.71, what is the record now?

Ya I thought it was 10.71 for both challengers and chargers ATM.... Don't know of anyone running faster yet least with only DR and DS...

Well... looks like a 10.69 is the new number to beat... is there actually an official or unofficial a record for a stock HC? It's impressive regardless... Nice run Stella!

Nice run looks like the Hoosiers are working for you, I think I am done until spring, with some negative DA a 10.59 is possible. Great Lakes will stay open in November as long as the weather is good, this coming week looks promising. Good luck catching me

I have had some PMs asking what wheel and slick I am using... So I will provide links here. The wheels are Mustang FR500s so that means the bolt pattern is 114.3mm , which is .7 mm off of our 115mm spread. Keep that in mind. Some people have an issue with that. There are cars running quicker than me using these wheels, and I have never heard of a failure. Only other option for a 17" wheel is going to be a Weld or Bogart at $500 each. Also, the hub on the wheel needs a quick go round with a Dremel in order to fit our hub. 5 minute procedure.

These slicks are of bias ply construction, and some people do not like mixing a radial on the front and bias ply on the rear. I will admit the ass end "wanders" a bit halfway down the track, and there is a learning curve.

When installing these on the car, you need to jack the car up by the lower control arm, one side at a time, or else they will hit the sway bar end link with the suspension fully extended.

The slicks are deadly consistent, even on my "no prep" track. 1.56 60' on all 3 passes.

Thanks man! If I would of had the -883 DA you had for your 10.62 run, it would of been interesting!
