John Iverson of Iverson Customs turned to Drop Top Customs, which specializes in turning fixed roof cars into convertibles, for the worlds first Hellcat convertible.
Iverson went through some loops to secure a brand new Challenger Hellcat by reaching out to FCA’s global head of design and Mr SRT himself, Ralph Gilles. Iverson said:
She's strikingly beautiful and who doesn't love a convertible -- right? I know we here at Hellcat.org HQ would love to get our hands on this conversion, but something bears mentioning and we need you to sit down for this.
We understand that being the one and only convertable Hellcat out there will come at a price, but the $139,900 price tag is just ludicrous. We're talking more than double the MSRP of a regular Challenger Hellcat SRT...that's a lotta coin for a conversion.

We want to hear from you. Way over priced, or what you'd expect to pay to own the worlds first Hellcat convertible?

That just doesn't do it for me. With the top down it looks okay, but I prefer the c-pillar on the stock car.

I would be worried about the structural integrity of the car without the roof. What did he do to support the car without a top?

When cars get soft-topped, they usually add a bunch of bracing to the frame to maintain rigidity.

There is definitely something lost in the strength of the lines with the soft top. Makes it look a bit too "Florida" or "Malibu," you know?

Caught sight of the two holes in the front bumper...

then that's all I kept seeing...drilled front bumper and the dimples (probably 10 views during video)

Missed visuals for necessary relocations on interior and exterior. Convertible in the snow??? What were they thinking or drinking or smoking?

Thinking it needs a better video...inside pan, outside pan..top in motion.

I see this as a six speed manual car for cruising around would be perfect. From a performance standpoint and racing it's a detriment I would think as mentioned above would need all kinds of structural bracing that would add weight to the car. Its not like a corvette or porsche that was designed as a convertible from the on-set.

Exactly! Looks nice but let me know if the doors still close without chipping paint in six months.

Also, I'd suggest marketing at the beach rather than in the snow. What moron made that video LOL.

I'd be more interested in seeing a targa top myself.

I agree - there is more time given to the car with the top up than with it down. Helllllo - it's a convertible. How about showing it with the top down and in the light?

Looks great but way too pricey. There will be others that can do it for a lot less money.
