Hypothetically, let's say you came around a corner doing 120 mi/h and there is a trooper sitting in the next pullout. His lights come on. Do you pullover and take the ticket or do you drop the hammer and take your chances?

I personally don't have the balls, but it does cross my mind that you could be doing 190 before he even puts it in gear.

Rule of thumb is 100. But it's up to the officer and the conditions. I was clocked once in New Mexico at 6am zero traffic in the middle of no where at 164 and was given a ticket...

That being said was clocked at 75 in a 55 twice in 10 minutes in NY on the toll road and my Porsche was towed...

Haha. If you get off with a ticket at 164 no wonder you'd stop!

What about state lines? Can you guys cross into another state to get a speeder?

Absolutely you can cross state lines. As a State or Federal officer you can. Depends on the jurisdiction. Like Kansas City, KS and Kansas City MO. They have a mutual agreement to cross over. Mostly depends on the area.

Bottom line is conditions of the road, area and your history. If your not a "bad" person by nature with a somewhat clean background, chances are you are going to get a large ticket. If you have drugs in the car ect, ect, your going to jail.

I feel it is my duty at this point to share this informational video:

While not entirely related to driving, it does give some hints that are applicable to this situation.

I also have my cdl. That's why I only dream of running, but could never actually do it. My radar detector goes off at 120 and the cat goes off at 130.(kmh)

Yeah I agree... pull over because you're not going to outrun Motorola... In my case a Sublime Challenger... if you were to get away with it... they be looking for you! o_O Going that fast don't expect to get treated nicely either. :(

I pulled out from a gas station after filling up and I had something on my mind, looked down at the speedometer and I was setting at 109mph,I pulled my foot off the gas and dropped down to about 68 mph and set cruise, looked in my mirror and saw blue lights way back,I turned my blinker on,pulled over and waited on him to get there.Long story short be respectful and courteous and you might get a warning ticket,if the officer is a car guy.

    Choppers with IR either...

fast runners have a large heat signature making it pretty tough to hide even if you get out of visual sight
