From what I have read, it looks like they will only build 300 of them. Price starts at $49,995 plus donor Mustang GT ($40K ?) for the 650HP model. Not sure what the additional 100 HP will add to the price. I would bet that the car is a lot lighter than the HC too. Odds of running into one on the road are slim.

I could hear the Ford guys now....."Super Snake Kicks Hellcat butt"

I read an article that the car is built in Las Vegas at Shelby American inc not the factory as stated on the link.

Ford and Chevy are not going to make a 700 hp car because they have to throw a bone to Callaway and Shelby.

Ya this is not a factory vehicle tho sounds awesome. It's as factory as a Hennessy vehicle and you could get a 1000hp viper from them a decade or so ago.

I would like a tour of the Las Vegas Shelby plant, they got some nice cars in there.
they are really different animals than the Hellcat. doesn't bother me a bit. In a year or so My Hellcat will be making even more power.

most think the 13/14 gt500 already kicks the HC's butt on the gt500 forums....when i post about how my HC is faster than my GT500 i get talked down immediately......i used to think my gt500 was faster too.....not any more........most think the HC is slow because of all the reviewers getting 5 second 0-60's and 12 second 1/4 miles......they dont want to accept the reality now that they are in the hands of the public and Dodges claims are comfirmed

the biggest thing to notice w/ the SS is an Auto option....never been a Auto in a Shelby before....i think its the only way they are going to beat the HC for the average driver......im wondering if the 2017 GT500 will have a A8-A9 option

If it was the 2014 body style, with an Auto, and the same price as a Hellcat... I *might* be tempted.

That said... Shelby GT500's were already priced a little higher than Hellcats.... and I can imagine a 750 HP one is going to be way above a Hellcat (MSRP). Also I haven't seen an Automatic GT 500 yet... I'm not sure they exist.
