Anybody else with a wrapped hood having bubbling/rippling issues? My 1st wrap turned out bad. This is their 2nd attempt. It looked good for a while but not after a couple months im starting to getting ripples again. Anyone else have to deal with this. The shop i went to charged me over $500 and they get away with it because they are the only place within a 300 mile radius that'll do it. Ugh.... i want a refund and will just have it painted. I think you will discover that the inserts vibrate slightly even when tightened. And the scoop is just snapped in. Combine that with the heat and its my opinion that all wraps are going to have issues like this. That's why i made sure my SunTex did not touch the vents.

How many miles with the wrap and what product did they use?

I have 1500 miles on my 3M 1080 - no problems do far

With this new wrap...ive prob got a couple thousand. Its 3m too. Crappy thing is, this is the 2nd time. Especially for $525 i could have just had a flawless paint job for a little more and just been done with it

It could be because they didn't remove the vents and wrap all the way around the edge. When they wrapped my car I assume they would just use some special tools to push the edge of the wrap into the crevices . I couldn't be more wrong . When I saw them remove so many parts of the car ... Vents, antenna, mirrors, door handles, turn signals... I realized how different a quality shop is from the guys who wrapped my Gallardo, where you could still see the undercover in the crevices , and it had small bubbles and some of the corners in less than a month .

They said they took them off. I believe them too. I can't seen any green anywhere.

That's an install issue... It may also be the quality of the material.

I've had parts of my Jeep wrapped and it has held up extremely well.

I agree. This is the second time, right?!?
Yeah,....tell them to refund you the money. I don't think they're doing a good job on the wraps. That's my opinion.

I also have 3M. No issues yet. 2 weeks old and 1100 miles. I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for reporting. I have to have some of the 3M replaced on my bumper and mirrors, it's starting to peel back. The guy that put it on says he has a 7 year Warrenty, so I have some time. Let us know if you get your hood painted.

No issues with mine. They used 3M Flat Black. Sorry to hear that you're having these issues!

They used a special primer on my hood and trunk lid to promote adhesion, one concern was how hot the hood was getting....
