I finally did the deed. I got the hood wrapped. Not too bad, but only time will tell. Installer said the stronger the adhesive the shorter the time between rewrapping. I picked 3M, the satin black matched the rear spoiler the best. Installer said it should last 3-4 years, but I should get it rewrapped in 2-3. The Avery brand has a stronger adhesive, FYI.

So did you write that correctly? - "the stronger the adhesive the shorter the time between rewrapping" So if people use a stronger adhesive it will be a shorter time before the hood needs to be re-wrapped?
That hood looks SICK! Fn awesome on the white. Love it!
Can't wait to see pics after the Quartz and love massage. lol

Thanks! Yeah, he told me if the adhesive is stronger, then to prevent paint damage and difficult removal, you should rewrap it more frequently. Counterintuitive, I agree.I drop it off in the am, should have the car back Thursday. Then its road trip time!

    Its just money. jk

Can you post info as to where we can get this wrap from?? Is it a kit for the Hellcat?

Its not a hellcat specific kit. Its just a giant sheet of vinyl that is trimmed, heated, and stretched to fit. You could buy the material and install it yourself in all honesty, depending on your patience of course. Its 3M satin black adhesive vinyl. The installer is in Houston, a little ways from Detroit. If I had my own garage I would have attempted this on my own. #cityproblems
It was $250.16 out the door, so I am guessing the material is approximately $150. It took 20 mins for two guys to install it, 1 hour minimum labor charge at a common rate of $100/hr. Just a guess. I hope this helps.

The wrap looks great. What's it doing to the paint? If you grew tired of it, for some strange reason, could you remove it and leave the original paint or is that shot?

If they could produce the black satin hood... Which would you choose and why?

i had one ordered and it was removed when the order was updated. I dont plan on not having it wrapped. i suppose at some point it will need to be redone... dont want paint damaged but that is not an issue in preventing me from getting it done.

im going for a wrap over paint as i want more then just the hood done.

I am in Houston, who did you use? Thinking of wrapping hood once I get my Tri-Color Red.
