has anyone thought of keeping their front splitter protectors on their car to keep the splitter from getting damaged during driving up/down parking lot entrance/exit ramps?

They're yellow and stand out like crazy but I thought of keeping mine and having them wrapped in black 3M. I'm pretty good w scrape prevention driving on our Viper already but wanted some extra piece of mind. The only issues I've had are scraping the rain deflectors located just in front of the front tires ever so slightly if the ramp is too steep.

Someone mentioned they used Plastidip on their splitter guards and it was almost an exact match to the color of the splitter.

silly talk.....the front spoiler will be damaged.....ive never seen anyones on any low sitting sports car that wasnt all scraped up....my 2011 was on day 2....my gt500 has had the lower panels replaced 1x already and gets sanded down every few times i drive it (lucky it is replaceable easy for $200 by myself)

i bought some screw on protectors that fit under there...ZL1 makes them...work great...my spoiler doesnt have a mark yet, but the Zl1 splitter protectors are scraped, so they do work.....i dont see why you'd go through the trouble of using protectors for shipping the car as daily driver equipment

im very fussy.....i accept the scrapes...no one will ever see them......

look into the Zl1's...i think they are perfect for you:)

Every time I see a Hellcat driving with splitter protectors, I shake my head. It's a car... DRIVE the damn thing. If you wanted a piece of art, put a cover on it and store it.

It reminds me of the people that leave all of the stickers/screen protectors on their TVs or laptops... Until they throw the thing out.

im so fussy i used to dress to protect my seats on my 2011 IE...if my wife showed up in a blue or red jacked i made her go back in the house and change...bought her a white winter jacket just for the car....i wash my car 2-3x's a year (only) and let it get dusty to keep the micro scratches off the paint......yet i accept the front spoiler will get scraped.....

get the zl1 protectors and it will most likely solve most of your problems....odds are it will get scraped anyways at some point..

those factory protectors are like an old lady putting her furniture in plastic to make it last forever:)
