I did not want to highjack someone else's post on their car being done. so here is a fresh question.

if you go onto the XPel site and pull up your car. there are prices posted. Is this the price you were charged to have it installed? Or was there a different way to explain the cost.

I see some people stating the cost of the parts installed and some seem high and others lower than what I paid.

I did the total windshield forward, back of the mirrors, rockers and small patch behind the rear tires.

I wonder how they come up with their pricing is all. I am happy with my decision to have mine done.
    Pricy, but looks really good.

Was quoted "about" $1500 for CQuarts install, and $2,000 on the XPel that is described above.

    comments are welcomed

    Thanks
    Matt

I had mine done with the suntek.
Very difficult for the installer, but outstanding job.
Very pricy and he had the car for a long time, but it was as expected and quoted.
I had a long talk with the installer and both he and I knew what we were getting into. I am extremely picky and very anal about my car! Had whole front, lights, mirrors and entire rear valance. All one piece fitments with all trim and the valances removed to wrap edges. You have to look really hard to see the film.
Would highly recommend them if you're in so cal. They are in Aliso Viejo, which is southern Orange County. I had an installer about 3 blocks from my house, I drove the 40 miles to these guys for a reason!
I did get the cquartz done as well, still mixed feelings on that decision, but that's a different thread.

It's market driven. Walk away from the initial quotes. Tell them your shopping many places and products, even in border states. End with you have cash in hand, when you decide what your feel your prepared to spend. And price is part of your equation not quality. Mark up on these products is there. The manufacturers want to hold up prices, for product and labor. Installers need to make a living, it's reasonable they're allowed to compete for business, many do.

I paid only 70% of your total amount (including paint correction and hoping that it's part of your cQuartz install). I got full hood, bumper, full fenders, headlight, door cup, rocker panels).

As TallCool1 says... call around and make sure you find a good installer.

I figured I was getting a great price since I did some computer work for someone who then referred me to an installer.
Then reading posts on here, I see I paid a premium after comparing others on this site.
Not unhappy I did the XPel but now I will "haggle" if I think I can save on a job.
I thought it would have been a better fit than I got, being told that the material was laser cut and sent from the factory for them to install.
I can see gaps in coverage near the hood openings

Just make sure you dont low ball someone to the point you deter them from doing a good job. Some times you get less with less.

The flat part at the rear bumper at the trunk. I use to get the car wash personal marking it up when I use to get the SRT-8 washed and had it covered on the Hellcat

The guy that did mine has the Ferrari and Lotus contract here in ATL, so very professional. He charges the prices on the website as installed, but I do know that it depends on the shop. I am sure you could even find cheaper, but I know this guys work is flawless and will fix or redo anything that does not come out perfect. Stands 100% behind his work.

If you take a look at Xpel's website, it indicates that the pricing you see is for the kits only and not installed. As per anything else bought in the U.S. and other areas, the installed price will be different depending on region and owners overhead. These are the same factors that any item or service price is based on.
PPF (Paint Protection Film) is not an easy install. There are numerous things that can make for a great install and a poor install. Look for an installer that has been working with the film, has a great track record and will give you references.

Most places, the price is the price. Haggling over the price will only get you in a argument or even could possibly get refusal of service.

    HUMP
