Greetings! A new member here. I just ordered a '15 SRT 392 Charger. As I wait for verification it will either be the last of the 15's or end up at the beginning of the 16 production after their summer break.

I ordered Granite Cyrstal Metallic with black Nappa/Alcantara, sunroof, and red seat belts.

It's an educated decision- I don't need the car to drive itself, I'm a huge audiophile (Heritage Klipsch guy), so I would never be happy with the HK and its problems, and although I love the Laguna leather I didn't find it any more comfortable than the standard seats. I also nixed the nav as I will just use my phone's nav with BT.

I currently have a 2007 Dodge Charger SRT8 that we bought with only around 3000 miles on it. Fast forward to today and it has 82,000. Love the car, but we are ready for a new one.

    Some questions:

    1. I'm guessing the standard stereo with the 276 watt amp is a HK head unit and the "premium speakers"are Alpine? And the speaker locations are the same with no rear deck sub? I loved my Kicker system in my 2007 for a "stock" stereo, but this HK one is a joke for $2000. I'll just head to the stereo shop if I can't live with the base stereo.

    2. Snow tire- I'm keeping my 2007 stock SRT rims with my snow tires. I'm guessing everything is the same except my rims are 9 inches wide instead of 9.5?

    Thanks!!!

I'll second the technology package. HK you can live without. For 1900 you can add a lot of upgrade stereo components. Will the 2007 wheels work on the 2015. I would think so.
I upgraded from a 2010 to the 2015. You will really like the upgraded eklectronics. And the 8 speed will really impress you.

That it is. I spent some serious money on my 2010 to get it right. Dodge got this right.

I love the rev matching downshifts in track mode :D:D:D:D and the super fast 160ms shifts accompanied by some SERIOUS exhaust bark at heavy throttle shifts :D:D:D:D . By far the best bone stock automatic I've ever owned. I'm amazed at how compact it is too given it's an eight speed behind a locomotive!

This car makes me smile like a kid. My face hurts when I drive it!

Can someone explain to me what this means and what it does?

As you shift down manually the car adds a split second of fuel to bring the rpms on the motor up for the lower gear. It makes downshifts silky smooth. Also when you are racing on a twisty track it doesn't upset the cars suspension. So again you can be smooth with your chasis's weight transfer from trail braking into a turn and back into acceleration as you exit to a straightaway. Or on the road in simple terms- your head doesn't go through the windshield when you downshift as you are waiting for the rear wheels to rev the motor with road friction which is hard on the driveline.

Thanks all I'm very excited! Also more specifically I'm planning to use my 2007 wheels in the winter with snow tires and keep the stock wheels and tires for the warmer months. I'm sure the bolt pattern is the same, just worried about offset/any rubbing issues with the new brakes. I have 275/40/20 snow tires and I don't want them to rub.

shifts - I haven't had a modern(2000's) car that gets 2nd gear scratches. NOW I HAVE ONE! Have had my SRT 392 for three days, and I can tell you that it's not even broken in yet, and it gets 2nd and 3rd gear scratches. I can't wait until I can REALLY open it up!!!

speakers - my only complaint about the HK system is the Charger does NOT get the extra subwoofers like the Challenger does. Some people say it's not a good system, but it actually is. Using proper audio source is the key. Also, there will be a software update for the amplifier that is said to improve quality and volume. I've learned to not use the surround sound settings on Chrysler audio systems.

I'm in D status. I did a search, but does anyone have a link to the build status codes? I have a VON but no VIN. Thanks!

Awesome Thanks!!! Does anyone have any production numbers/breakdowns of the Charger SRT 392's? I'm guessing it will be a car seen far and few between. Most of the Hellcats were Challengers and most of the 392 Chargers will probably be Scat Packs. Awesome links!

LOL - NO TECHNOLOGY PACKAGE! You're cracking me up! I tried it in an R/T and didn't care for it. I drove the car for about 50 miles. I'm an EVOC instructor and the first thing I do when I get in a car is turn the traction control and ESP completely off- whether I'm in a Police Car or my SRT.

    Blind spot monitoring
    Collision avoidance
And for the open road lane departure.
But the biggest advantage will be at resale.
