I have really hard well water here and have been using the CR Spotless DIC20 for many years now. Great product & it really works. Best place to buy it is Costco. Only issue is the resin cost from CR is a bit high, so I buy my resin in bulk here:

Way cheaper to just dump the old resin out of the plastic tube & reuse them than to order new tubes every time.
Do keep an eye on the gauge on the unit, once the reading gets to 30+ the resin is almost spent & you'll be lucky to get another wash or 2 out of it. I dump the old resin into a large garbage bag & just put it in the trash.
Number of washes you get will depend entirely on how hard your water is. Do be sure to use some sort of spray head that restricts water flow and has a 'flat' setting else you'll blow thru the resin in a few washes !!
