From what research I did it appears that the Hellcat vs Redeye vs Demon HP is 717/797/808(840) and the torque is 656/707/717. It’s hard to find accurate 0-60 times on these cars but in general it seems that the Demon can pull a 0-60 in almost a second less than the Redeye but when you look at the horsepower and torque ratios it doesn’t seem to make sense to me. What makes the Demon that much faster? Engine? Gearing? Weight?

Keep in mind that the Demon's 0-60 rating is done on a track, in drag mode with drag radials. The Demon has a purpose built suspension for launching, a trans brake, and torque reserve. The real kicker here is the trans brake, which neither the Redeye nor SS has. Furthermore, the Demon has its race fuel PCM. Those elevated 0-60 times are done with this PCM.

On the street at a red light, if their trans brake isn't used and they're running the regular PCM, it's not much different than a Super Stock.

Trans brake and torque reserve system help the demon. Most of us can only build 3.9 PSI plus the regular brakes only hold you until ~2000rpm. The transbrake lets the demon build 8psi and hold a higher RPM. Given equal traction the demon is launching with a lot more torque which definitely helps get it moving.

Got it. Thank you. Sounds like an average driver may not notice a huge performance difference between the Demon and Redeye on the road but an experienced driver on the track certainly would.
