Well, here's my $0.02. You need to pick what you want to work on when you go to the track (or on each individual pass). If you are going for ET/60', you want to stage as shallow as possible to get that rolling start. However, this will increase your RT some. To cut down your RT, you'll need to find where staging gives you the best light. In my experience, I need to go a bit deeper (not completely deep) to cut down the light.
