Turning the steering wheel lock to lock with the car stationary do you have good consistent power assist all the way to the locks in both directions?
My 18 NB loses all assist before it gets to the locks, and I don't think it's always exactly the same. The dealership working on the car is questioning whether or not this is a normal condition, they don't have another Hellcat on the lot with hydraulic steering to compare it to.
I'm not trying to diagnose this condition, just want to be educated/prepared.

Thanks, In Advance.

My 2016 seems to loose a lot of the power assist if trying to turn the wheel too quickly or sharply while sitting still or slowly moving.

Wow, 227 views and only 3 replies. Didn’t know my car was that rare. Thinking big $$$$ . Lol
Would definitely like to see a bigger sampling.
Thanks for the input!

2016 shaker tazer track mode 24/7 (track steering) and it has assist lock to lock

If it didn’t I would think something was jacked up

Wouldn’t you want more assist once steering was at the extreme angles???

I agree. At slow speeds or stationary I don’t want less assist at those angles for sure.
I’m extremely confident there’s something wrong. It might help me dealing with the dealership to be able to show them other owners saying there car doesn’t have this problem.
Thanks!

My 17 did the exact same thing. It felt like it was binding when turning very far in either direction when stationary.

Did you try switching steering modes?

Did you buy the 17 new and was it like that from day 1?
Hard to believe Dodge built vehicles for 50 + years with hydraulic P.S. that had great assist all the way to the locks, and they'd get it wrong with these cars.
I had a friend back in the 80's that converted all his 70's era Mopar's to manual assist because the power assist was too quick/sensitive to steering input.
