Hey everybody. So a few weeks ago I started hearing a little bit of a squeal coming from the engine bay as I accelerate. And it seems like it has gotten worse since then. I can hear the noise a little when I hit the gas at idle in the garage. And listening to it closely, hood up, it is definitely coming from the intake/supercharger side of things; not coming from a pulley, water pump, etc. I do have an extended service contract (major guard w/ Ally Auto) `until May of next year. And it does cover superchargers and their components. I have an appt. with the dealer on May 17 to take a look at it, using this service contract. So I have a couple questions..............
1) Do y'all think having aftermarket components (e.g. cold air intake, cat-back exhaust) would void the extended service contract?
2) I have a BWoody CAI installed (been on for ~ 1 year), and LOVE the whine. Is there any possibility that having this CAI could cause an issue with the supercharger? I wouldn't think so. But just thought I would ask.
Thanks for any help/advice.
