Just had my first cruise with the 17” M/T Street R’s. WOW what a difference! Now I can actually use most of the power this beast puts out. The traction of these on the street is insane
Original 20” wheels I couldn’t floor it until half way through 3rd gear and still spun a bit. Now I can floor it by end of first gear and barely spin. Launches way harder than my old car ever did 🤘🏼

also note, many on here were saying I wouldn’t need the shorter sway bar links for this setup. I did have to change them so I put on the Bwoody end links and have lots of clearance now

What wheel is that? Offset, width and back space. They make a 17X11 with 6" back space and that should easily clear the sway bar. Even the 17X9.5 +22.5 offset has been reported to clear on narrow bodies. But I bet it varies from car to car and even "side to side" on the same car.

That’s what I have. 17x11 6”bs
It probably would clear when on the ground but once I bolted the wheel on in the air it was right against the lip of the rim. I wasn’t taking any chances letting it down like that. I put the Bwoody links on then had 3” clearance

Unless yer doing dukes of hazard jumps you didn’t need shorter links but glad you like it now

Take it to a prepped track and see whatcha think

Were you there Sunday @dragrcr when Tommy wadded up the truck?
I need to install a diff brace before playing on a prepped surface

@dragrcr you gave thumbs up but didn’t answer? I was outta town but heard about it and am bummed for the guy. Guess he finally got that steel headed junk into the 5’s that morning and then the trans broke spraying fluid on the left rear 1st round of eliminations. Are you racing summit series there this year?

Hey guys ,

i currently have Nitto 555R2 on my Redeye Charger WB w/ 3.09- the car moves out in second - still spinning but it moves .

im About to do 10 percent lower pulley and tune - I’m afraid the 555R2 will just be spin city now -

how much better would this setup grip?
How much better does a 17” Setup grip than an 18”?

That frostbite and silver stripes looks badass. Here’s my 1220hp 2020 Superstock 3,621 miles engine siezed, warranty isn’t covering it so on the fence of buying engine myself or lemon law it and get another one

I can tell you the 17” street R gets way more traction than the Nitto’s. I went with this tire because it was the most highly recommended, now I see why. The more sidewall you have the better you will hook. If I could fit 15” I would have done it

Sunroof and a oil fill breather Linda

Seized as in ‘sudden stoppage while at or above idle’ or as in it doesn’t crank over when you press the red start button?

3572 has same sidewall as 3580

15” is way to go for 7 second car
