Most people here like this filter and consider it an upgrade from the stock OEM filter p/n.

Not sure how you can say that? Just as many guys here if not more are using the stock Mopar MO899 filter. They found it good enough to use on the assembly line. With my 1500-2000 mile change intervals not sure it is worth the price difference. Most people here like this filter and consider it an upgrade from the stock OEM filter p/n.

Add one to the list, I did... and never looked backFair enough... change "most" to either "many" or at least "some".
You are good. That SRT filter will fit all 5.7, 6.1, 6.2 and 6.4L engines, it's just that it was really only specific to the Viper so it normally won't show up as correct for anything else, even if you ask your dealer for a filter for a Hellcat he probably will come back with the 899 and not not the 041 but they work fine and are recommended by SRT.Just to be sure, Amazon says this filter DOES NOT fit my 2016 Charger Hellcat but research, unless I’m doing it wrong, says it does. Can anyway re-confirm this is the right part number for a 16 Cat?
Not every part will always be properly associated in the system, but it 100% fits and has been used by SRT on all the Gen 3 Hemi's.Why does Amazon say this?
That's what I use but the XP version with synthetic media.Wix for me. 57899.
But it is made to SRT specs by WIX, there is no exact WIX aftermarket version of the MO-041.The white SRT oil filter is a wix..
