So, I bought my HC Charger, used. Recently, I noticed that on either side of the shifter bezel, the console is actually bulging. Like it has come unglued and is puling away from the shifter bezel assembly. I can move it back into place, by hand and the contour lines are nice and straight, which leads me to believe there is something that has failed.

I'll upload a pic of this, later, but anyone else have this issue?

I remember doing a lighting mod, on a 2008 SRT8, and noticed that the dash was pulling away from the upper edge of the radio bezel, in much the same fashion.

Anyone notice this, or have a fix?

I haven't had a chance to disassemble the center console, yet, but it looks like it's on the short list of things to fix. Ugh...

You can easily pry the top plate up at the front of the cup holder with a thin blade (I use a plastic pry tool) and see what’s happening on the sides. Again it comes up fairly easily but you still want to be careful. The sides just pull off and snap back into place with integral clips but you have to lift the top off first. Maybe yours is missing a clip or just needs to be lined up and pushed back in place? Hopefully it will be obvious when you get the top off. Let us know what you find.

Thanks for the bezel removal tip.

It looks like the glue they used, to put these panels together has failed, on both sides.

Looks like I'll be removing the console, to remove the side panels, to glue them together.

DAP, by Woodweld, makes some excellent contact cement. I've used in under hood applications and it holds up well, to heat.

Oh well... this is what $65,000 gets you, these days.

Pulled off the driver side console cover and boy... what a joke.

Failing in several places.

Dealer wants over $200, for this junk and I need 2 of them.

Nope.

Just going to try to fix it, on my own.

Meh...

It should be covered under the original 3yr/36,000 bumper to bumper even if you are not the original owner? I am surprised to see the condition of those. I have a 2013 Charger Daytona and a 2016 Charger HC and no signs of any kind of deterioration?

I have some DAP on order. Should do the trick.

I wouldn't have noticed, if I didn't have the darn car torn apart yesterday. LOL

I installed a couple of cosmetic mods and took some measurements, for a custom shift knob I'm gonna make :)

It will work itself out.
