I have noticed many manufacters releasing 2016 model information.. I know the '15 Hellcats are barely hitting owners/dealers but I wondered if there is any news on the '16's yet? I may end up waiting for a '16 personally.

Just looking to see if may Resume Speed or anyone else has info!

I read an RS reply stating minor tweaks for 2016. Also another thread hinting that the sublime not available in 16, possibly to be replaced by one of the other loud colors. FWIW

Well, you (we) may have no other choice to wait for a 16. I just spoke with my dealer and they only received 2 units for the Dec allocation, which now puts me at #5 waiting for the next allocation. There is a chance that the next allocation #'s to be released will be in the Spring/Summer timeframe and the builds will be 16's. Word is in January, they will turn their efforts on getting the Charger Hellcat out for the 15 model year.

RS said each allocation now will be month to month, so another allocation to go out mid January (a week late due to the holiday break) then another beginning of Feb and so on.

I really hope that's correct but we all know that RS is not calling the shots for Corporate, just reporting on what/who they have access to which to this point has been spot on. Believe me I do not want to wait for allocation periods of every 3 months for 2 units each period (for my dealer) before I can inch up and have my order filled, because if that happens - the car will be a 2016 by the time I get up to bat (which would be near the end of 3Q 15).

It would a dream come true if 15 was the only year they made them, but that's all it is... A dream. I say that so it could have the potential to be like one of the vintage Mopars that are rare today

Just called SRT and they said it was yesterday.

The 2016 model will be offered in a convertible with a satin black hood option. There is a sport mode switch that will override the system and allow the car to make up to 825 rear wheel horse power. And of course it will be available in Plum Crazy Purple.

Heck yes! I was kinda hoping if SRT didn't rejoin Dodge, they would come out with a '16 SRT 'Cuda but now that it's Dodge SRT again that's not happening.

I choose it because I like metallic in the paint and I wanted a wild color. The Red, Yellow and slime green did not have metallic flake in the paint. B5 ( blue fire ) was not wild enough for that car. The purple challengers that I have seen out there are much darker than my " In Violet" ( plum crazy purple ) Cuda.

The only way I would be willing to wait for a 2016, is if they announce a all wheel drive. The 8HP90 is designed for it....
