Rob440Magnum Here is an update and seems to make sense.

The sensors that detect an obstruction to stop an auto-up window only work up and down. A second sensor would have been required to detect any side to side pinch motion. So, it came down to cost, complexity, and safety." ~ from another forum.
It looks like older Corvettes that had the window open similar to Challenger had auto up/down but I would side on the cost/complexity/safety argument above as to why it's not on the Challenger. Essentially, there is no backseat in a Corvette to where people can accidentally stick their fingers in the wedge area. For Challenger, a little different.
Even so, it is a request that has been submitted to Dodge/FCA.
