Are you buying it to drive or buying it as an investment...

 

I want to use it. But don’t want to pay too much so that selling it again in the future isn’t going to be impossible either.

 

I'll defer to more knowledgeable members as I have no idea what the crate is worth, but I would certainly use that as a bargaining chip to negotiate a price I was truly comfortable with. I would assume (much to the dismay of current Demon owners) that the 170 will probably negatively impact their value in the future. With that so recently announced I would assume that also plays in your advantage as a buyer. But at end of day I also imagine you won't be the only interested party, so pick a price you can live with, make your points and if it works out great, if not there will be another in the future.

 

I've seen those crates listed for $10K in the past. I would think you should be able to get that sort of adjustment off the price.

 

Yes he is willing to drop the price. But I am still not sure how much to pay without it. Car has 4500 miles on it and it’s all street miles. With a crate I would guess he would be around the 130K mark maybe I would think.

 

I would say you are spot on. I have mine insured for 140K with 6500mi .and have the crate.
