So I just bought my first hellcat it’s a 2019 charger with 40k miles 1 owner so whenever im In eco or street from 3rd to 2nd or first it shift slightly hard like it bumps into 1st or second not sure it’s only when im slowing down the trans doesn’t slip or anything it’s shifts smooth up but down shifting 3rd to 2nd or just coming to a dead stop and it going from 3rd to 1st it like bumps it’s self into 1st any ideas on what it can be I do have warranty on it so I just want to know if it’s even worth letting the dealer touch it.

Hard to read w/o periods.........You DO know it shifts different in each mode right? Do you still have a warranty? If so, it's worth a free check and logged visit.

Are you getting a hard lurch forward just before coming to a complete stop? My 2016 charger did that and it was hard enough that it felt alarming. Back then there were accounts of this all over here and the take away for me was that it wasn't having a problem but just a behavior. I got used to it in no time.

Looks like this thread offers possible corrections. I dailied mine for four years, once I expected it, it wasn't an issue. No failures for me.

Yes it lurches but it doesn’t do it all the time just every every once in a while I do have warranty on it but I want to know if it’s normal

Normal. I've had three of these now since new and theyve all done it. Coming to a stop it's like someone has bumped you from the back at roughly 5mph-0. I was told it's something in the torque converters. I dont ever drive in ECO (why would anyone...) or Street but always in Track trans mode and that's when I really feel it.

So just drive it in sport and track?

If it’s doing what mine is doing then drive it in whatever mode you like and just know that it’s normal.

The Transmission is a Truck Transmission and the shifts are normal.

I've seen some members post their Dealership fixed it or you can have a Hellcat Tuner do this too.

Linda :)
