As im driving down the freeway I heard a snap noise, didn’t think much of it until i saw smoke coming from my car. Pulled off the freeway and I see my supercharger pulley is snapped in half and a puddle of oil spilling from the front pasanger side. Also my main belt had came off but not snapped

Hard to tell in the picture, but looks like tensioner may have failed. Oil maybe have come from cooler lines as the belt whipped around. Surprised coolant temp didn’t go up and you didn’t get a code. Assuming it was fairly quick from the noise until you pulled over. Hopefully just oil cooler lines and no other damage. Good luck.

The belt doesn't look oily, so oil leak was likely caused by belt hitting cooler lines or the filter itself was torn or spun loose from belt rotation/impact....
Factory SC pulley looks together, so that doesn't look like it failed. If SC spins freely, it is fine.
I may need to make a little shield to protect the lines/filter when/if the belt brakes if this is the actual cause..... Interesting.

So from the tensioner failing it can cause the belt to snap? I thought i might of had a faulty belt.

yea first thing i did was spin the supercharger to see if it was anything from that, but car was running fine even after the snapping noise. So most likely was just shit luck when the belt broke hit oil lines. Going to go to the dealer today will keep updating.

I'd buy that for a dollar. I am sweating my belt snapping and would love to have a shield to protect those lines.
