Ok so I have seen a thread or two on this, but I am not sure anyone had a definitive answer. I like a few others have a 2020 Hellcat with 1500 miles on it, and it developed an annoying creeking/sqeak sound out the right rear. No Worse over bumps, just a constant consistent sound. Quite obvious as you just drive at 20 mph in a neighborhood, you just hear that right rear creeking and sqeaking at a constant rate. I can make the sound pushing down on the right rear of the car as well.

Took it into the dealership and of course they had the "foreman" look at it and its normal "suspension settling". There is no way this is normal. If this is normal I will have to sell it which is the last thing I want to do. I already had the bushings lubed, Now what? I literally cant put up with this sound. I guess try a different dealership? The one I went to wouldn't give me a time of day, and that was after waiting for 3 weeks to get the appointment, plus 2 days to get to it.

As I learned years back with my SRT10 Truck, there is no such thing as an "SRT" mechanic and its the same guy who services the minivan working on your hellcat. And this is was my fear going back into a dodge, but here I am again.

Sorry for being emotional, I just love this car and this sounds is unbearable for the price we pay for these cars. I have a very loud AFE exhaust too, and even that wont cover up this sound!

Any help or guidance is sincerely appreciated.

I’m not sure if this will help but it’s worth checking. I had a similar problem on an earlier charger. Directly above the rear end in the center of the car on the driveshaft tunnel there is a bracket that was coming into contact with a metal loop that holds a rubber line. Bending the loop away from the bracket stopped the annoying squeak.

What a coincidence. I have a 2020 with 12000 miles on it, and dropped it off at the dealership a few days ago for a potential intercooler leak. I also was experiencing The Identical squeak you spoke of. They said it was the rear shocks and they are replacing both of them under warranty.

I will definitely check it. Thanks for letting me know. Any ideas are appreciated

I just dont believe that this issue is the suspension breaking in like the dealer told me. I have had alot of cars and never have had a suspension sound go away on its own.

Yes I am starting to think this is a common issue on the 2020. Well i'm glad they agreed to replace your shocks. I made an appointment at a different dealership monday and I am hoping they care enough to fix it as well. Couldn't believe how the first dealership handled it.

Let me know how the shock replacement goes when your done

I've had a 2017 and now a 2021 Challenger HC and neither had that squeak. Should be nice and quiet. If not, there's an issue. Have them prove to you a manufacturer would purposely make a noisey suspension that would drive customers crazy.

Did you try having them check the disc brakes? I have a 2020 redeye challenger wb and i here a sqeak from my driverside rear only at apx 35 mph. No suspension mods. Also when i back up I hear popping noises from the front when i turn and back up and sometimes when i turn forward. Im bringing the car in and i believe they are going to put some sort of Shimmy between the brakes. Im going to upload the video of the car squeaking at 35 mph. Let me know of this is the issue. Give me 20 mins and i will upload it.

Thats actually a different sound then what I am hearing on mine. Mine sounds more like a squeaky door hinge that I am constantly opening and closing on the right rear of my car haha. At first I thought it was the sound of the leather rubbing up against something, but as it got worse I quickly realized it was in the suspension. Then when I started to push down on the right side from the trunk and could recreate it I knew I had a bad shock or bearing or something. But dont worry my local dealership says thats NORMAL SUSPENSION SETTLING.

I would have rather them lied and said we dont hear anything, but to hear it and say its normal! that made me even more mad lol. Going to a different dealer Monday and thanks to someone on another thread he sent me his shop ticket from when they fixed this on his so I am hoping they will help me out and tackle the problem. If I have to go to a 3rd dealer to have this taken seriously I am going to lose it!

This is why I dont trust the dealership with the oil changes even. We know they dont drain the cooler and they probably dont use the 0-40 and just grab whatever is on the shelf. I have the lowest opinion possible of dealership services right now because they will employ anyone who will just show up right now. I can do my own oil thankfully but when it comes to getting a warranty repair your stuck as I currently am

Why do they have to drain the cooler?
When you get your oil changed you have to make sure they drain the last few ounces out of the oil cooler where some dirty oil sits. Alot of dealerships fight that it needs to be done but its part of the actual dodge service recommendations.

I got about 8 or 9 ounces out of mine that would have been missed otherwise.

Got my car back from the new dealer I tried today. They are replacing my strut assembly and claim it will fix the sound. Parts will be in in about 10 days. I am so happy they are trying to fix the problem. Wow the first dealer I went to horrible.

Thank you to everyone who chimed in on this
