I have a new 2021 Hellcat Charger that I built to order. I took delivery of the car first week in July and it has under 3K miles on it. A week ago I noticed some strange noises coming from the supercharger so I took it in to the dealer. Dropped it off in the morning and by the afternoon the service advisor called and confirmed that there is a bearing issue with the supercharger and that it would be replaced under warranty. However, at this time there’s no ETA on the part and it appears no one has it in stock. I also contacted the SRT hotline early this week to open a claim to see if they could expedite. However, I have not heard back yet from the case manager. Just curious if this has happened to anyone else recently with a car with such low miles on it? It is also my daily, so I am hoping it is fixed sooner than later. This is my 4th charger, but first Hellcat, I bought all the others brand new as well and never had any major issues.

My 16 has 29k and a cel said fuel pump needs to be replaced under extended warranty. The bad news is they said they might be able to get one by end of year! At least mines not a daily driver. Parts are crazy right now. Hope they find one and get you back on the road soon.

You can find oem pumps online, reach out to SRT and see if theyll reimburse your purchase outside of the dealer.

Very crazy right now all around. I’m in technology and it has been very challenging to take care of some of my key customers due to all the shortages. Thanks for the response and I hope you get your fuel pump sooner than expected. I’ve put in a few request to FCA customer service so I hope I hear back some good news or at least any news soon. My service manager called me last night and said that no ETA is showing in the system still.

Thank you. I appreciate your response. I have reviewed, however, my situation has not improved. According to the latest update I have received the ETA for my replacement supercharger is January 22nd, 2022. So it is likely I will be without my charger over 3 more months.

Thanks

Anthony

I wish there were sites to buy OEM superchargers as well. Looks like I will be waiting until early 2022 to get my car back on the road.
Under a Warranty, no. They all order from the same place. But... you can find ported ones from shops. Of course youll pay for it.
Try eastcoastmoparts.com

So can you make Dodge pay your loan since they cant fix your car, kind of like if it was a lemon law car? They can say they "cant get a replacement supercharger" but you know damn well they have them at the factory building new ones....

They did say that I could file for reimbursement for payments once I get the car back. Also, that is my issue about the factory. I would think they would try to take care of a customer first that has a brand new car to get it back up and running. I know they are still building cars as we speak that requires the same supercharger. I am hoping they come back with something that’s a better solution. It’s no fun paying 75K for a car that I can’t even enjoy. My vehicle is always garage kept and it’s just sitting in the elements at the dealership now possibly for 3 more months since they won’t let me move it.

That sucks! They should at least find a little corner they could tuck it away till fixed. Or maybe let you have it towed home till part comes!
