So during the acceptance inspection by the dealership, they found the passenger front wheel and tire sidewall gouged on a few places. (Sucks to be that transportation company.). Luckily, a replacement comb was two-day shipped from Dodge.

Next thing noticed when i was inspecting, the two 2022 Challenger Scat Pack wide bodies had the same 3-vent hood. Thought only Hellcats had this style and, makes it all the better when de-badging my Hellcat.

Then, found the front "scoop" on the hood is fake. No pass through to the motor. Any solutions to fixing this other than cutting?

Oh, no SRT book. Nothing about the 6.2 motor, track/sport mode set up, nothing. Went into the dealership and spoke with the GSM who handled my sale. Another one said that’s normal because last one they sold also didn’t have one. I politely noted i would like a hardcopy of the manual so i know the fluid capacities, performance setup, etc.

my GSM stated he would find and order everything missing.

pics to follow for those of you who don’t know what a white Charger Hellcat looks like with black seats. ;)

They don't print a 2022 SRT supplement, only PDF. Spoke to Dodge hotline, they said it was too expensive, seems like a stupid thing to do on such an expensive option.

You can visit the Mopar site and create an account and then have access to the digital copies of all the manuals for your car.

Link:

Sure you can get hard copies, too. I like having the digital copies as I can refer to them on my lap top. I have not bothered to put digital copies on my iPhone. But when I'm in the car I have the hard copies in the glove box.

As for the scoop it is probably fake because it is located in an area where there is no positive air pressure. The scoop is there for looks nothing else. This was the case with my 2006 GTO with the twin scoops on the hood. I drove a test route with the scoops blocked with rubber inserts and data logged some engine telemetry -- IAT among other things -- then removed the inserts and drove the test route again and again data logged the same engine telemetry. There was no difference. Oh maybe a degree or two colder or hotter but just the expected variation though I did make the two test runs back to back and the ambient temperature and wind direction and speed were the same both runs.

My advice would be to just leave the scoop alone.

I wouldnt bother cutting up your hood. Pretty sure the engineers have the cooling figured out. These cars are not lacking for cool air whatsoever.

You’re still gonna love it. Even with non functional scoop

Rockster, found the same thing with my GTO also however, i did remove the plugs just to allow heat to escape in city driving and after shutting down.

will follow the advice here and just leave alone. Afternoon drive to Julian and Mt Palomar - this car is exactly what i was hoping it would be. :)

I didn't get a srt manual either. Downloaded a copy from a post on this forum. But I am calling dodge srt on Monday to ask for one to put in the car.

Are you sure the scoop is blocked off on your 2022 Charger? The scoop on my 2015 is not blocked off, it puts cold air right on the blower casing...

Wow, I ordered a 2022 RE. That is disappointing.
on the plus side, with the Scat Packs having the same hood, debadging the Hellcat and its big brother variants makes it a little bit more hidden.

just put a little scat pack emblem on the back to have the “sleeper option" installed.

edit: 2022 Scat Pack hoods are the same as the Hellcat (scoop and vents)

The hood on my 21 charger redeye seals against the top of the air cleaner box. There must be a reason.....its getting air from someplace because their are big air passages under the hood.

Exactly. It must be that REs have a functional scoop for the airbox. The regular hellcats must be like this. OP, is your car a hellcat or RE? Cany anyone else with one of these chime in?
