I’m ready to order a ‘21 SS but as we near the end of the model year I’d like to know what improvements, colors, and/or options will be offered for 2022? Anyone here have any solid info. they can share? Thanks!

It's not just FCA, it's becoming very common now for anything but plain white/silver/black.

Nothing new....plymouth and dodge charged extra for high impact colors back in the late 60s/early 70s too

Ford really started this up again with fleet cars. Back in the day many police cars had their own unique color and look then Ford said white is free but any other color is $100 extra. When they're buying 100's of cars it adds up so now almost all police cars are white with some cheesy decals.

Whats funny about the paint upcharge is, TorRed is a no charge color. Red paint is the most expensive to make. It should be an upcharge yet with Dodge it is the same price as black and white.

I think it’s because Torred is a base color with no metallic in it nor tint coat. It’s just Torred clearcoat. Octane red is metallic and they up charge for it. But we are spending 70k for a car, that color up charge is like nothing to us.

My favorite upcharge of this whole process was having to pay for the automatic like it was an option. There was no option in 2021 for a manual (in reality). The auto was like $3k.

They haven't offered Redline Red on Challengers since 2016. I wonder why. They've gotten rid of more "high impact" colors than the more mundane ones. I've had 2 yellow cars. Never would have guessed that.
