We needed a new car. I looked at everything. I can honestly say not one SUV on the market appealed to me. The Durango was the one exception though it’s a bit larger than we need. No family , just the two of us. Hopefully my wife doesn’t say it’s too big.
my status was ( married 2 children)Does that mean it was in BG status? Is that the stage where you only have a VON?
Yea you are either ok with buying used or you aren't.The biggest drawback on a 21 is you really don’t know how they treated it. Why save money on a used car when you can just buy new and feel confident you F’d it up instead. Lol.
Yep the SRT in 18 and the perfect size suv brought me to the brand. They really don't cater to the expectations of the 100k buyer, but the performance is worth the herky jerky esp the 6.2..It really does bring the Durango platform into the top echelon of 3 row performance. Have fun with that RS which was my backup plan. This is interesting to follow as a new Dodge guy and new to the forum!
I have a 23' DDHC order in with a power broker now that only got 1 DDHC allocation (from what they said anyway). My story is the same; I have VON, only a VIN from the dealer and it's not on the tracker while the status is D, again this coming from the dealer. Coming from BMW & Porsche to Dodge because I wanted to switch it up from the Germans in terms of a fast SUV and needed one that can tow my incoming race car (sold my X5MC for my GT4 RS and drive a 392 now that I bought from the power broker until the DDHC comes in), let's say this experience with Dodge has been different!
When you order a BMW or Porsche it's as close to real time updates as you can get when it comes to complicated manufacturing and supply chains. My GT4 RS has a map with current movements, countdown timers etc. and all of my BMW's had updated at least weekly or so. With that said I do really like the Durango and hope everyone that has a DDHC allocation and wants one gets them! It's a great machine and supper useful, I can tell that with just having the 392 currently. Guess it's time to just wait and see what happens...
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and happy holidays! Cheers
