2023 Dodge Durango Hellcat

I am happy to say that I placed my order for a new 2023 Dodge Durango Hellcat on 'day one', and already have a VIN. According to my good friend @ the local dealership, he believes that my order was the first one on the books for 2023, with my VIN ending in 000. Either way, I am excited and can't wait to get my hands on it. She will be Destroyer Grey w/ Redline Red/Black stripes, and Demonic Red interior, w/ all available options. I found it interesting that even though I got my VIN, there is no breakdown for price on the POC. I am guessing that prices have gone way up for 2023.

Isn’t it funny, I immediately responded what does coming pretty fast mean? I guess he fell off planet earth because it’s been crickets. If you don’t know just say so, that goes along way in my book.

I ordered tonight. Dealership originally wanted an ADM a week ago but called me back and offered it for sticker. Destroyer grey, plus package, black package. Now I will have to decide if the Charger or the TRX gets sold/traded in. I really think I am going to keep my TRX. I do love the Charger but not a big fan of sitting down lower, climbing in and out and the rear wheel drive. My wife will probably kill me when she finds out but I have a feeling she will like driving the Durango.

I agree with grizzy. If I was in the market I would look for a low mile 21...because you have more flexibility on options..No sunroof but with everything else was important to me...Having the HC logo on the seats is also more desirable to me than the generic SRT..
Wouldn't trade my 21 with 19k miles straight-up for an identical spec'd, zero mile 23 just because of the HC logo on the seats.

Great cowboys1732 better dust off the pillows just in case you’re relegated to the sofa in the living room for a couple of nights. Even though I haven’t got my DDHC yet, and my wife loves her DDSRT, she’s extremely excited and patiently waiting for the DDHC to arrive so it can become hers, she thinks.

`Meanwhile, I use seat covers to make any logos invisible. No point in debadging if the seatbacks give it away.

That's a no brainer to me. Lose the taxi and keep the TRX.
There will come a day when we all must have a charger whether we want one or not. For the mandated EV, that is.

Yea the only reason the DDHC purchase was entertained was because my wife hates driving my Charger because it's not up high like her Wrangler. So I finally get my Hellcat.

Oh, I do remember now nsane11, I was told by the brand manager that the web tracker will only populate the VIN when the vehicle moves into production. BUT, there are folks that have said they have both VON and VIN on the web tracker. The latest was if you ordered your vehicle from a power broker the web tracker will show both, VON and VIN. Go figure
I ordered from a power broker and tracker doesn't show my VIN.
Congratulations DDHC-23, I went through my text messages from my dealership (non-power broker) ordered 11/22, here is what they said, “It hasn’t created a ETA Shipping Date just yet but it should be soon I’m thinking by the end of January it should be here”. I’m assuming “here” means at the dealership. If I was a betting man, I wouldn’t bet on that date.

It doesn't say what year, does it?

@goodmanale Have you heard anything from your dealer? Someone on the Facebook groups that had placed a 2023 DDHC order was informed that it was cancelled (along with 1,400 others) and it was most likely due to that dealership (and others) placing orders without allocations. I also found someone posted this list, which I didn't know existed. Is your dealer on this list?

1400 is a lot. I know I got a VIN already at least, and my dealer is on this list as well. If you've got a VIN, you should be all set eventually, no?

Yes, having a VIN is a fairly safe indicator that you are good to go if your dealer was on the linked list.

Sorry to but in, maybe that explains why they haven’t built any yet. Luckily my dealership is on that list if it accurately reflects dealerships that received allocations and I received my VIN.

They haven't built any yet because the Durango Hellcat was going to be "late availability" anyway. No one knows what that means in Dodge's crystal ball except for a "delay" from when 2023s started production. Good news is it seems as though 2023 Durango production started late last week but I am still awaiting confirmation.
