So upset I trusted a dealer I had made so many previous purchases from. They had always given me good deals pre COVID. They charged me 5k above sticker for mine. And said they charged 15k for others. I trusted them thinking it’s a rare car and no one was gonna sell at MSRP. and now I’m unsure if I can cancel as it’s already built. Even if I got my deposit of 3k back, and I found an allocation near me at sticker. I’d have to hope it doesn’t get cancelled for whatever reason…idk what to do.

Hate to say this, but what about 'flipping it' ?? I mean you'll be one of the FIRST to have it... (to me thats almost worth the $5k, as the rest of us to wait and wait and wait).... BUT as a FIRST delivery car, yours would QUICKLY get snapped up for a premium on 'bring a trailer' or such! So dont rule that out. Maybe buy it, try to flip it, and if that doesnt work, hell enjoy the thing. You got yours FIRST before the rest of us. (And then never use that dealer again).

There is ZERO comparison between the two, lol, IN A GOOD way! You will love the Durango Hellcat. My buddy had both the Hellcat Challenger and the Scat Pack Charger, neither one of them held a candle to my Trackhawk or Durango Hellcat. Even my buddy said he wished he had the money (or wife's approval) to get the 100k Dodges, he asked me 'why cant dodge do this for the challenger/charger lineup?) (He was impressed with their zero 60 AND Superior handling). I said 'because then it will be 100k+ for those cars too'... and was like 'oh yeah good point'

that's how I've done it so far - just luck of the draw. got a used one coming now - if it isn't suitable will get back on the phone.

Flipping.... Maybe. There are a good number of 21's out there for sale now in the high 80's low 90's. The 10k price increase and mandatory packages push the price for a 'previously titled' vehicle

5k ADM isn’t ideal but it’s also not like it’s 15,20,25, etc. that a lot of dealers charged.

IDK - I had my 2021 totaled by a negligent driver (other driver at fault) - gave up too early apparently on finding close to MSRP based on unlucky picks for the first 10 dealers I called - just received a 20,000 mile used one for 89 - its ok but has a few dings, a few scratches inside on the plastic, averaged 8.6 MPG and had top speed recorded of 155 - totaled DHC was wife’s car who babied it (no dings and scratches, top speed 114, and 11 mpg average so not driven nearly as hard). If I had to do over would have kept calling until I got MSRP or even 10 over and ordered a new one. Interestingly, 2 weeks to the day later she was driving my 4,400 miles 2021 DHC and had another driver turn right into her and smash up the side of the car but at least it’s not totaled. BTW anyone know proper amt to request in payment for decreased value due to accident (over and above the amt to repair the vehicle)?

That is great news. Just keep in mind, it may not actually get built then. I have had a schedule date of January 10th for well over one month and no movement towards production yet. But at least it”s progress and for all I know, you could still end up with yours being built before mine. Anyways congrats and can’t wait for everyone to get their DDHC.

Mine says February 8th. The way I'm reading that, it just means that on February 8th they changed it to scheduled. That's not the date that it's scheduled for. I don't see anywhere in what they sent me of when they're actually going to build it.

So far, I have haven’t gotten one and the dealer didn’t know. I guess my point is we might be sitting in D1 status for awhile. Either way it’s moving in a positive direction.

My sense is, judging from various members' posts, that the start of production for the DDHCs is about 2-3 weeks after the notification of being scheduled. Hopefully, that will be your experience as well!
