Yeah I watched that, and a lot of other stuff on YouTube, before deciding to order the Hellcat.
I'm not sure what kind of help that you need - it sounds like you got your DDHC locked down.New to this all started with being diagnosed with terminal cancer have always owned high end trucks as owner of business needed. Sooooo wanted a hot rod so ordered 23 Durango Hellcat. Saturday 11/12 I got call from dealer.

Did you get order number from them?Hey guys, does anyone else have a BG status for their order? My dealership is telling me they got 1 allocation for the DDHC this year. They put in an order as soon as possible, so like 2 weeks ago. I have since edited the order to my preferences and have the deposit on the vehicle. When I went to sign the papers, it said BG status. I'm first in line. According to what I have since researched, BG means they don't have an allocation? But I've seen some mentions on this forum that it can also just be weird and it'll turn into the allocation soon or something?
The VON? Yes.Did you get order number from them?
You should have a VIN by now - I got mine back on the 15th a few days after I ordered. Ask your dealer to keep sending you all new POC's that they recieve. Many times the dealer will simply fail to keep you updated. The VON? Yes.
Mind telling me what POC stands for?You should have a VIN by now - I got mine back on the 15th a few days after I ordered. Ask your dealer to keep sending you all new POC's that they recieve. Many times the dealer will simply fail to keep you updated.
Priced Order Confirmation - the dealer will receive a new one every time the order changes status.Mind telling me what POC stands for?
Does that mean it was in BG status? Is that the stage where you only have a VON?took mine 2 weeks to get a vin after von...in 2020..
my status was ( married 2 children)Does that mean it was in BG status? Is that the stage where you only have a VON?
You're just going to have to sit back and chill. BG means the order has passed edit, but cannot be considered for scheduling at this time. That could be for a variety of reasons. What was the configuration of your order? Dodge is playing the weird order game again for the Durango Hellcats and is causing PTSD for all of us that lived through it in 2020/2021. Have your dealer check for order updates on a weekly basis on a Friday and see if there is any movement. Unfortunately, nothing is guaranteed with Durango Hellcat orders. There is no definitive start date for 2023 Durangos, let alone Durango Hellcats which will most likely start several months after regular Durango production begins. Dodge is struggling to finish the 2022 builds due to parts shortages. I won't be too concerned that you haven't received a VIN yet.Does that mean it was in BG status? Gotcha, thanks for the explanation. My main concern is making sure this dealership isn’t pulling my leg and they actually have an allocation. But if BG just means a pretty vague status, then ok, I will indeed just try to be in touch each friday. Thanks again. You're just going to have to sit back and chill. The words late availability could likely mean summer of 2023. I wouldn’t put too much faith in obtaining a VIN because until that vehicle is built it means nothing. You can’t drive a VIN.You're just going to have to sit back and chill. BG means the order has passed edit, but cannot be considered for scheduling at this time.
