I just ordered a Charger HCREWB from my dealership here in SoCal that has one allocation on the Horsepower Locator. So I’m assuming it will update in a couple days showing they no longer have an allocation but my build sheet doesn’t have 5N9. I’ve seen some have it and some don’t. I looked at the dealer connect website as we were building it and it showed 1 allocation. So will it be built or am I out of luck with the guessing game.

Absolutely no one knows the answer (not even your dealer even if they tell you they do). Keep it and wait....or cancel immediately and move on, those are your options. You're going to be in the same boat elsewhere though.

There is NO WAY to tell any of you people ordering when it is going to be built until it shows in the system.

I see this question coming about 500 times in the next few months.....IMO the answer should be a stickied thread

My dealer is a big one. The person I’m dealing with I’ve known for years and he’s in a position to know a little more than most. For example I have a copy of the 2023 order guide in my possession. Anyways his opinion was 4 to 6 months from now I should see my car. He said they’re doing it this way to allocate in advance parts he thinks they’ll be a big production pop in early spring and then sporadic after that. Take it for what it’s worth. Like others have said nobody really knows. Also he does not expect any more allocations. But would not be surprised if he did get some later. Lol. They’re flying blind as well.

is these special edition models have the option to build the car or it's like standard with options that comes from factory?

I believe the special edition cars come pre-configured. The dealers just have allocations to order and you put your name on it.

That is correct, the special edition cars can not be modified they are pre-configured by dodge and the allocations sent to whatever dealers they used their algorithm to decide.

Don’t believe a damn thing any dealer tells you. I’ve spoke with two dealerships that weren’t even aware that there was special editions being allocated to them.

On your POC do you have a 5N9 code for guaranteed scheduling? For 22 jailbreaks that was a sign your car was definitely going to be built however 23 orders could be different. No idea though just assumptions.

Since you're a typical high strung, Gung Ho newbie we've been getting each year about this time for the 3rd year in a row now....I'll prescribe less posting, more reading for about 6 months.

I had a boner for the 5N9 code when I ordered my car. Dealer swore they had an allocation and it was mine. Never saw a 5N9 code. Car was built 10 weeks from ordering. Waiting on shipping now. Hoping that goes just as well and we see the car soon. Don't sweat code.
